The Promenade Fleurie de Mimizan, location and geography
The starting point for the Promenade fleurie is Mimizan’s southern beach. Hikers can admire the sand dunes that stand like ramparts facing the Atlantic Ocean.
From fine sand to pine forest, the route continues to discover a rich and colorful flora with a variety of specimens. The same goes for the fauna, with an incredible variety of birds.
The pines will give way to cork oaks, trees characteristic of regions in the south of France. A waterfall and a small pond complete this natural setting, offering visitors a unique landscape and ecosystem.
