Maguide: its marina, its beach…
Just over half a century ago, the Maguide area was nothing more than a marshy area in the heart of a wild landscape. Built in 1965 with respect for nature, Port Maguide is now a must for yachtsmen and lovers of the region. Bathed in calm turquoise waters, surrounded by clear sandy beaches and sumptuous centuries-old pine forests, Port Maguide is an absolutely unique haven of peace. It sublimates the shores of Lac de Cazaux et de Sanguinet, one of the great freshwater lakes of the Aquitaine coastline. Fishing enthusiasts and sports enthusiasts will also find an excellent playground for a vacation to suit their tastes. The thousand-hectare Landes pond even takes you as far south as Lac de Biscarrosse-Parentis via the Canal du Littoral des Landes.
Practical information: Maguide beach and port, Biscarrosse…
The Port area and the Maguide beach, which is supervised during the summer season, offer unforgettable moments with family and friends. Port Maguide is easily accessible by road and via the many cycle paths that criss-cross the region.
Marina
You can moor your boat at Port Maguide or rent a boat there. Take the opportunity to visit the towns around the lake (Biscarrosse, Navarrosse, Sanguinet, Cazaux…). Why not sail to Port de Moutéou and stay at our family campsite in Biscarrosse, L’Arbre d’Or, right on the shores of Lac de Biscarrosse? This 4-star resort with indoor pool is ideally located in the commune of Parentis-en-Born, between the beaches of the Atlantic coast and the Landes forest.
Maguide Beach
Palm trees, fine sand, warm, transparent, shallow water along the banks… everything invites you to relax! Families with children will also love the many water sports and leisure activities on offer on the beaches and near the port. Towed buoys, pedal-boats, windsurfing, water-skiing, WaterBike (a funny bicycle mounted on floats)… you’ll be spoilt for choice. Fans of water sports can even enjoy Oxoon water jets at Aqua-Loisirs. But it’s certainly the 15-year-old AquaPark Biscarrosse at Port Maguide, voted the world’s largest inflatable water park in 2017, that will bring all generations together! WaterJump (an 8 m waterslide with kicker), AquaKid’s (from age 4), Giant Human Catapult… everything you need to let off steam from June to September.
Gourmets can dine on the stilted terraces of the various establishments, with their magical views over the waters of the lake and the Port Maguide marina. On the menu, an assortment of ocean flavors and local specialties. For a successful nature vacation, book your holiday in the Landes!
